Chili For An Army - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. hamburg (can substitute ground turkey)
    1 lb. linguica, chopped
    2 medium onions, chopped
    2 bell peppers, chopped
    2 (1.36 liter) cans kidney beans
    1 medium can crushed tomatoes
    4 Tbsp. maple syrup
    1 Tbsp. crushed red peppers
    hot chili powder
Preparation
    Cook hamburg and linguica until done; drain off most of fat. Put meat into a 5-quart pan.
    Saute onions and peppers, then add to meat.
    Add kidney beans, maple syrup, crushed red pepper and crushed tomatoes.
    Heat on low-medium, covered, until hot.
    Add chili to taste.
    Stir often.
    Taste often.
    Be careful with the chili powder unless you are a fire breathing dragon!
