Peanut Butter Custard Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 baked pie shell
    3/4 c. powdered sugar
    1/2 c. peanut butter
    2/3 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 Tbsp. flour
    3 egg yolks
    3 c. milk
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 egg whites, stiffly beaten
    1 pinch cream of tartar (1/4 tsp.)
    1/4 c. sugar
Preparation
    Cream the powdered sugar and peanut butter together until crumbly; set aside.
    Stir the next 7 ingredients together in saucepan.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly.
    Bring to just below boiling point and cook a few minutes more.
    Sprinkle 2/3 of peanut butter mixture in bottom of baked pie shell.
    Pour custard over this; save remainder of peanut butter mixture for top.
