Frosted Cranberry Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    13 1/2 oz. can crushed pineapple
    2 (3 oz.) boxes lemon Jell-O
    1 (7 oz.) bottle ginger ale or 7-Up
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
    1 (1 lb.) can cranberry jelly or sauce
    2 oz. pkg. dessert topping (Dream Whip)
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
Preparation
    Drain pineapple; reserve syrup.
    Add water to make 1 cup. Heat to boiling and add Jell-O; cool.
    Add ginger ale and let set partially.
    Mix cranberry jelly and pineapple and fold into Jell-O.
    Let set until firm.
