Corn Oysters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 ears corn
    3 egg yolks, well beaten
    1/4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    3 egg whites, stiffly beaten
Preparation
    Cut corn off cob; 2/3 the depth of kernel.
    Add yolks; blend together.
    Sift flour, baking powder, salt and pepper.
    Stir into corn and egg mixture; blend well.
    Gently fold in egg whites. Drop by spoonful on hot greased griddle.
    Fry until brown; turn and brown other side.
