Gingersnaps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    3/4 c. shortening
    pinch of salt
    1 egg
    2 Tbsp. molasses
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients and form into balls the size of a hickory nut. Dip in sugar. Place on a nonstick cookie sheet. Bake in moderate oven at 350\u00b0 for about 12 to 15 minutes. Watch closely because they can burn easily.
