Crumb Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. flour
2 c. sugar
c. shortening
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. soda
1 c. buttermilk or sour milk
3 eggs
Preparation

Combine flour, sugar and shortening; take out 1 cup for topping.
Add remaining ingredients to the larger portion of the dry mixture and beat together well.
Pour batter into 2 (9-inch) round pans or 1 (13 x 9-inch) pan.
Sprinkle reserved 1 cup of topping over batter in pan(s).
Bake cake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 45 to 50 minutes.
It may take less time to bake the cakes in the 9-inch pans, so keep an eye on the 9-inch cakes while you are baking them.
