Cherry Blinks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. margarine
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 1/2 Tbsp. milk
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. chopped dates
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1 1/2 c. cornflakes, crushed
    candied or maraschino cherries
Preparation
    Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Mix margarine, sugar and egg.
    Stir in milk and vanilla.
    Blend dry ingredients together; stir in.
    Mix in dates and nuts.
    Drop dough by teaspoon into cornflakes.
    Roll gently so dough is completely covered in cornflakes.
    Place about 2 inches apart on greased baking sheet.
    Top with a piece of cherry.
    Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until no imprint remains when touched.
    Yields 3 dozen.
