Brown Hamburger Stew - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/4 c. flour
    2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    2 Tbsp. fat
    1 1/2 c. water
    3 carrots, sliced
    3 potatoes, diced
    2 onions, sliced
    1 turnip, diced
    2 c. tomato juice
Preparation
    Mix hamburger meat with flour, salt and pepper.
    Brown in fat, stirring as needed.
    Drain off fat.
    Add water and carrots.
    Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
    Add other vegetables and simmer until crisp-tender, about 10 minutes.
    Add tomato juice; heat through and serve.
    Makes 6 servings of 1 1/2 cups each.
