Sweet Onion Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    pastry for 9-inch pie
    3 c. sliced or cubed sweet onions
    3 Tbsp. oleo
    2 eggs
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. evaporated milk, undiluted
Preparation
    Saute sweet onions in oleo until tender.
    Arrange in pastry shell.
    Beat eggs slightly, add cream, salt and pepper.
    Pour over onions.
    Bake at 425\u00b0 for 18 to 20 minutes, or until knife comes out clean and pie is well-browned.
    Makes 4 to 6 servings.
