Congealed Strawberry Sour Cream Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. strawberry Jell-O
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries
    1 (at least 12 oz.) container sour cream
    2 c. boiling water
    2 c. crushed pineapple (do not drain)
    3 large bananas, mashed
    1 c. chopped pecans (optional)
Preparation
    In large mixing bowl, dissolve Jell-O into the boiling water. Add crushed pineapple, strawberries, bananas and nuts.
    In a large dish, pour 1/2 of the mixture and place in refrigerator to congeal.
    When this is congealed, spread sour cream over top and add remaining 1/2 mixture.
    Congeal.
    Makes 8 cups.
