White Mountain Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. evaporated milk
    1/4 c. white corn syrup
    3 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Place milk, corn syrup, sugar and salt in a deep saucepan. Cook, stirring constantly, to a soft ball (238\u00b0).
    Add margarine and vanilla.
    Cool slightly.
    With the back of a wooden spoon, work the hot fudge up the sides of the pan until mixture thickens. Add nuts.
    Pour into well-greased pan.
