Oven Caramel Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 qt. popped corn
    2 c. brown sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. margarine
    1/2 c. white Karo syrup
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. soda
    1 c. peanuts (optional)
Preparation
    Boil sugar, salt, margarine, Karo and vanilla for 5 minutes. Watch carefully.
    Remove from heat and add soda.
    Stir quickly. Pour over corn and peanuts, mixing well.
    Put onto large cookie sheets and bake at 250\u00b0 for 1 hour, stirring several times.
    Store in tightly closed container when cool.
