Chocolate Top Caramel Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. margarine
    1/2 c. white sugar
    1 c. sifted flour
    10 oz. milk chocolate bars
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    2 egg yolks, plus 1 Tbsp. egg white
    1 c. quick cooking oatmeal
    2 Tbsp. margarine
Preparation
    Cream the margarine and sugars slightly.
    Beat in the egg yolks and mix thoroughly.
    Add flour and oats.
    Mix well.
    Spread on greased and floured 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes. Cool for 10 minutes and spread with chocolate that has been melted with margarine over hot (not boiling) water.
    Sprinkle with the nuts.
    Cut into squares or bars when cool.
