Doughnuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg
    1/2 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. shortening, melted
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    Combine beaten egg, sugar and shortening; add milk.
    Mix flour with baking powder, salt and spices.
    Combine the liquid and dry ingredients, stirring only until smooth.
    Roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness on floured board or counter.
    Fry doughnuts in Crisco heated to 365\u00b0.
    Will be brown in 60 seconds.
