Pork Chop Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 pork chops
    1 can beef consomme soup
    1 tsp. basil
    1 tsp. thyme
    water
    2 small pkg. yellow saffron rice
    1 large onion, cut in 6 slices
    1 large tomato, cut in 6 slices
    1 large bell pepper, cut in 6 slices
Preparation
    Set oven to 350\u00b0.
    Put rice in bottom of a casserole dish. Lightly season and brown chops in a skillet.
    Put on top of rice. Mix consomme and water to make 2 cups of liquid.
    Add basil and thyme.
    Pour into skillet with drippings and simmer for 5 minutes. Pour over chops and rice.
    Lay one slice each of onion, tomato and bell pepper on top of each chop.
    Bake 1 hour, covered.
