Old-Fashioned Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 eggs, beaten lightly
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. butter, melted
    1/4 to 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. soda, dissolved in a little bit of buttermilk
    2/3 c. flour
Preparation
    Beat eggs until very light; gradually add sugar and beat again thoroughly.
    Add melted butter, then nutmeg, soda dissolved.
    Work in sufficient flour to make a dough.
    Roll thin; cut out and bake in a quick oven at 400\u00b0.
