Crunchy Bran Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. butter or margarine
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 Tbsp. molasses
1 c. bran (natural)
1/4 c. raisins or currants
1/4 c. chopped nuts or dates
Preparation

Combine
buttermilk and soda;
set aside.
Cream butter and brown
sugar
thoroughly.
Add
egg
and
beat well.
Add buttermilk\tand
soda, then molasses and bran and blend.
Stir in flour
and\tsalt mixture and fold in fruit and nuts.
Spoon into well-greased
muffin tins and bake at 375\u00b0 for 20 minutes until well done.
