Stuffed Green Peppers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium green peppers
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/3 c. chopped onion
    1 Tbsp. fat
    2 c. stewed tomatoes (1 lb. can)
    3/4 c. packed precooked rice
    2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    salt and pepper
    1 c. shredded process American cheese
Preparation
    Cut off tops of green peppers.
    Remove seeds and membrane. Precook green peppers in 1 cup boiling, salted water for about 5 minutes; drain.
    Sprinkle salt inside peppers.
    Brown meat and onions in hot fat; add tomatoes, rice, Worcestershire sauce and add salt to taste.
    Cover and simmer until rice is almost tender, about 5 minutes.
    Add cheese.
