Jam Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    1 c. oleo
    1 c. jam
    1 c. nuts
    1 c. raisins
    3 1/2 c. plain flour
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. allspice
    pinch of salt
    1 c. peach juice (optional)
Preparation
    Cream butter, sugar and eggs.
    Add jam.
    Combine flour, spices, salt, raisins and nuts.
    Dissolve soda in milk.
    Pour in buttered tube pan and cook at 300\u00b0 for about 1 1/2 hours or longer.
    Pour peach juice or any fruit juice over cake.
    Ice with caramel icing (recipe in this book).
