Vidalia Onion Hors D'Oeuvre - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 medium onions, thin sliced into rings (Vidalia onions)
    2 c. water
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. vinegar
    mayonnaise
    celery seed
    Ritz crackers
Preparation
    Boil water, sugar and vinegar.
    Pour over thin onion rings. Cover tightly and refrigerate overnight.
    Drain well.
    Add mayonnaise and celery seed to taste.
    Chill and serve with Ritz crackers.
