Ingredients

1 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 c. granulated sugar
2 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
2 Tbsp. cooking oil
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. chopped nuts
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
1/4 c. unsweetened cocoa
1 1/2 c. boiling water
Preparation

Grease an 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish and set aside.
In a medium mixing bowl, stir together the flour, granulated sugar, the 2 tablespoons cocoa, the baking powder and salt. Stir in the milk, oil and vanilla. Stir in the nuts and pour into the prepared baking dish. In a small mixing bowl, stir together the brown sugar and the 1/4 cup of cocoa. Add the boiling water and slowly pour over the batter. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 40 minutes. Cool on a wire rack and serve warm. Great with a dip of vanilla ice cream while still warm. Serves 6 to 8.
