Pralines - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. soda
1 c. buttermilk
1/4 tsp. salt
1 stick butter
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. pecans
Preparation

Place in large pan and boil all ingredients, except pecans, until a soft ball stage is reached.
Remove from heat and add butter.
Allow to cool to room temperature.
Add vanilla and stir until the mixture starts to thicken.
Add pecans and spoon onto wax paper.
Will make 25 to 30 pralines.
