Mother'S Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. Aunt Jemima self-rising cornmeal
    4 Tbsp. flour
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    2 c. buttermilk
    1/2 tsp. soda
    6 Tbsp. bacon grease, melted
Preparation
    Mix dry ingredients, except for soda.
    Add soda to buttermilk and stir together with dry ingredients.
    Heat bacon grease in large iron skillet or heavy pan.
    Stir about half of grease into batter, then pour into hot skillet with rest of grease in it. Bake about 25 minutes at 450\u00b0.
