Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. rolled oats (not instant)
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. butter or margarine, softened
    2 eggs
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    In blender or food processor, process oats until coarse flour.
    In small bowl, combine ground oats, flour, salt and baking soda; set aside.
    In large mixing bowl with electric mixer on high, beat butter and brown sugar until light and creamy.
    Beat in eggs and vanilla until well combined. Gradually stir in flour mixture until combined.
    Stir in chocolate chips and pecans.
    Drop dough by scant 1/4 cupfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
    Bake 15 to 18 minutes until golden brown.
    Remove to wire rack; cool completely.
