Candied Sweet Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium sweet potatoes
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. light corn syrup
    4 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Partially cook potatoes in boiling water.
    Cool.
    Peel and cut in half lengthwise.
    Place into buttered baking dish large enough for one layer, not packing too closely.
    Mix syrup, salt and butter; heat.
    Pour over potatoes.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 1 hour, basting often.
    If you cut this recipe in half, it makes a pie plate full.
