Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    ground meat
    2 cans stewed tomatoes
    1 onion, chopped
    2 cans dark red kidney beans
    1 tsp. chili powder
    1/4 c. ketchup
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    1 or 2 cans tomato sauce
    water as needed
Preparation
    Saute onion.
    Brown meat and drain.
    Add tomatoes, sauce, beans, chili, garlic powder, ketchup and salt and pepper to taste. Add 1 to 2 tomato cans of water.
    Cover and simmer for 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
    Add more tomato sauce and water, depending on consistency of chili as it simmers.
    Add additional 1/4 cup of ketchup to deepen red color of chili.
