Four Day Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 gal. sliced cucumbers
1 c. salt
1/2 box alum
1/2 gal. vinegar
5 lb. sugar
water (to cover cukes)
1/2 box pickling spice
Preparation

First Day:
Slice cukes in a gallon jar. Cover with water and 1 cup salt.
Let set 24 hours.
