Crisscross Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1 egg, beaten
    2 c. sifted flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add beaten egg and beat until mixture is fluffy.
    Mix in flour, salt and vanilla and blend well.
