Phyllis Lahey'S Butter Horns - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1/4 c. milk
    2 tsp. sugar
    1 cake or pkg. yeast
    1/2 pt. sweet cream or evaporated milk or half and half
    3 egg yolks or 3 whole eggs and use 4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. cardamon
Preparation
    Sift flour, 2 tablespoon sugar and salt together.
    Add butter and work until mealy.
    Scald milk; add 2 teaspoons sugar.
    Cool to lukewarm.
    Add yeast and stir until dissolved.
    Beat egg yolks. Add cream and cardamon; mix well.
    Stir into flour mixture to make a smooth dough.
    Cover and store in refrigerator overnight.
