Eldon'S Favorite Crock Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium cabbage
    2 red peppers
    2 large onions
    2 c. white vinegar
    2 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
    4 carrots
    2 green peppers
    2 tsp. celery seed or celery, sliced thin
Preparation
    Grind or chop cabbage, carrots, peppers and onions.
    Add celery seed or celery and soak in salt water for 2 hours.
    Drain well. Mix vinegar and sugar.
    Put in covered crock or covered container or big jar; let stand in refrigerator.
    The longer it stands the better it is.
