Smothered Cabbage - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small head cabbage
    1 medium yellow onion
    3 carrots, peeled
    1/4 c. vegetable oil
    2 cloves garlic, chopped
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 red bell pepper
    1 green bell pepper
Preparation
    Peel off tough green outer leaves of cabbage.
    Cut cabbage in half and take out core.
    Slice thinly.
    Julienne onion; cut carrot in 1/2 the long way and slice thinly on the width.
    Heat oil in a large skillet.
    Toss the cabbage, onion and carrots in the oil. Cover and cook over medium heat for 20 to 25 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
    After about 15 or 20 minutes, add the chopped garlic and season with salt and pepper.
