Taffy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. water
    1/2 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Combine in saucepan and cook to 265\u00b0 on a candy thermometer (hard ball stage).
    Pour onto buttered pans.
    Let cool enough to handle.
    Pull and stretch with buttered hands until almost white. Let taffy get completely hard.
    Break or cut into bite sized pieces.
