Hard Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    2/3 c. light corn syrup
    3/4 c. water
    1 dram Lorann flavoring (1 tsp.)
    powdered sugar
    food coloring
Preparation
    Mix first three ingredients in a large saucepan. Stir over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
    Boil without stirring until temperature reaches 310\u00b0 or until drops of syrup form hard, brittle threads in cold water.
    Remove from heat.
