Swiss Steak - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 Tbsp. shortening, melted
1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 lb. steak, 1 1/2-inch thick
1 medium size onion
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
2 (8 oz.) cans water
Preparation
-
Pour
shortening into roaster.\tPlace steak into roaster. Combine
flour, salt and pepper.
Pour over steak.\tSlice onion on top
of
steak.
Pour tomato sauce on top and water. Cover roaster and bake at 300\u00b0 until tender.
