Asparagus Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 eggs, well beaten
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    3/4 c. cracker crumbs
    1 pimento, cut in small pcs.
    1 c. 1/4 in. cubes of cheddar cheese
    1 c. milk
    1 lb. can asparagus, drained
    3 TBSP. butter or margarine, melted
Preparation
    Add to the eggs, salt, pepper, cracker crumbs, pimento, cheese and milk.
    Stir in the asparagus and pour into a greased 1-1/2 qt. casserole dish.
    Pour butter over the top.
    Set into a moderate oven 350\u00b0 and bake, uncovered, until the custard has set, about 30 min.
    You can assemble this dish ahead, pouring the melted butter over the top just before it at mealtime.
    Or you can prepare and bake it ahead, and reheat it in a warm oven.
    Makes about 6 servings.
