Japanese Fruitcake 2 - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter
    2 c. sugar
    4 egg yolks
    1 c. milk
    2 c. flour
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    4 egg whites, beaten stiff, then folded into beaten batter
    1 c. seeded raisins
    1 c. seeded dates
    1/2 c. citron
    1 Tbsp. orange peel
    1 Tbsp. lemon peel
    2 dried figs
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Combine first 9 ingredients, using methods and cooking times given in Japanese Fruitcake 1. Put 1/3 of the batter in pan.
    Add to remaining 2/3 of batter raisins, dates, citron, orange peel, lemon peel, figs and nuts.
    Divide this batter between two pans. Bake.
