Squash Patties - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg, beaten
    1/2 Tbsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    2 Tbsp. milk
    3 Tbsp. finely chopped onion
    1 c. shredded yellow squash
    1/2 c. self-rising flour
    hot salad oil
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients except salad oil; mix well.
    Drop mixture by tablespoon into 1/2 inch hot oil in a large skillet. Flatten patties to 1/4 inch thickness.
    Cook to a golden brown, turn over and brown other side.
