Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 to 4 green tomatoes
    3/4 c. yellow cornmeal
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    1 egg, beaten
Preparation
    Mix cornmeal, salt and pepper together.
    Slice tomatoes 1/2-inch thick.
    Dip slices in beaten egg, then in cornmeal mixture.
    Fry in hot oil until nicely browned.
