Piccalilli - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. green tomatoes, chopped
    2 Tbsp. salt
    1 qt. cabbage, chopped
    4 onions, chopped
    1 qt. celery, diced
    2 c. green peppers, chopped
    2 c. red peppers, chopped
    2 hot peppers, chopped
    1 Tbsp. mustard seed
    2 1/2 c. cider vinegar
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 tsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Mix chopped vegetables with salt in a non-reactive bowl.
    Let stand, covered, overnight.
    Drain and rinse with cold water.
