Sara'S Easy Tortilla Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (14 1/2 oz.) can tomatoes (undrained)
    1 medium onion, diced
    1 clove garlic, minced
    2 Tbsp. cilantro or parsley
    1/4 tsp. sugar, salt and pepper
    5 c. chicken broth
    2 c. Monterey cheese, cubed
    2 medium avocados, diced
    8 oz. fried corn tortilla chips
Preparation
    In blender, combine undrained tomatoes, onion, garlic, cilantro and sugar. Blend until chunky. In a large pot, add vegetable mixture and chicken broth. Simmer 20 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
