Lemon Loaf - cooking recipe

1 medium lemon
2 1/4 c. flour
1 /12 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. shortening
3 eggs
3/4 c. milk
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Grate 1 tablespoon peel and squeeze 4 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice from lemon; set aside.
Grease a 9 x 5-inch pan.
