Light Strawberry Preserves - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box Sure-Jell light fruit pectin
    2 1/4 c. sugar
    4 c. crushed strawberries
Preparation
    Mix Sure-Jell and 1/4 cup sugar.
    Add pectin mixture gradually to fruit, stirring vigorously.
    Set aside for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
    Stir remaining sugar gradually into fruit mixture until sugar is completely dissolved, about 3 minutes.
    Pour into pint containers and cover.
    Let stand at room temperature for 24 hours.
    Store in refrigerator or freezer.
    Thaw in refrigerator. Makes about 6 (1 cup) containers.
