Louisiana Pralines - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. granulated white sugar
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. whole milk
    1 1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Place sugar and milk in medium saucepan.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring often.
    When a firm ball forms (drop in water to test), remove from heat.
    Add vanilla, pecans and butter.
    Stir until mixture thickens.
    Drop by spoonfuls on wax paper or buttered cookie sheet.
    Let stand until hard.
