Hazel And Gordon'S Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 heaping c. sugar
    1 heaping c. syrup (Alaga or Karo, white)
    1 Tbsp. butter
    2 heaping c. raw peanuts
    3 heaping tsp. baking soda
    1 heaping tsp. salt
Preparation
    Prepare greased heavy-duty foil (can use the same piece more than once, just spray with
    Pam after used).
    Heat sugar, syrup and butter over low
    heat
    in
    boiler,
    stirring
    often. When starts to bubble,
    add
    peanuts, using candy thermometer, and boil until a little above hard crack level.
    Turn heat off and add baking soda and
    salt,
    stirring
    very
    quickly;
    will bubble up. Pour immediately
    onto
    greased
    foil;
    spread out evenly.
    Let cool completely; break into pieces.
