Cream Of Broccoli Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large bunch fresh broccoli, chopped
    4 c. chicken stock
    1 large chopped onion
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    2 c. milk or cream
    2 eggs
    salt and white pepper to taste
    slivered almonds and chopped chives (garnish)
Preparation
    Cook broccoli in the chicken stock with the onion and butter until soft.
    Puree in food processor or blender (both broccoli and the stock).
    Put back into large pot.
    Whip eggs and cream together in large bowl.
    Add 1 ladle of soup to egg/cream mixture, whisking nonstop.
    Continue adding soup and whisking until temperature of soup and egg mixture are the same.
    Blend mixture into rest of soup.
    Heat through, but do not boil.
    Serve with almonds and chives as garnish.
