Apple Crisp - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. sliced apples
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/4 c. water
    3/4 c. flour
    1/2 c. shortening
    7/8 c. sugar
Preparation
    Place sliced apples in a shallow baking dish.
    Pour the water over them and sprinkle with the cinnamon.
    Using a fork, work together the flour, shortening and sugar.
    It will have a crumbly consistency.
    Sprinkle
    over
    the\tapples.
    Bake
    in preheated oven and serve hot.
    Can serve with whipped cream or ice cream. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
