Bran Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. Bran Buds
    2 c. boiling water
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. Crisco
    1 qt. buttermilk
    4 well beaten eggs
    1 tsp. salt
    5 tsp. soda
    5 c. flour
Preparation
    Combine Bran
    Buds,
    water
    and sugar.\tLet stand for 1 hour, then
    add
    remaining
    ingredients.\tFill pans 2/3 full. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.\tBatter keeps in refrigerator for 2 weeks.
    Raisins optional.
