Chicken And Hot Rice(From The Files Of James N. Heiskell) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 (3 lb.) fryer, cut up
1/3 c. fat
1 c. long grain rice
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. onion powder
1/2 c. Ro-Tel tomatoes
1 tsp. salt
Preparation

Brown cut up fryer in about 1/3 cup fat.
Drain and pour off all but about 1 tablespoon of fat.
Add long grain rice and coat with grease; brown until light golden.
Add garlic powder, onion powder, tomatoes and salt.
Mix well and add chicken and 3 cups boiling water.
Cover and bake at 350\u00b0 for approximately 1 hour or until chicken is tender.
