Lemon Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. lemon juice (1 lemon)
    1 Tbsp. grated lemon rind
    3 eggs, separated
    1 1/2 c. boiling water
    baked pie crust
    4 to 6 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Combine cornstarch, 1 1/4 cups sugar, lemon juice and rind. Add egg yolks and mix together. Gradually add boiling water.
    Heat to boiling over direct heat, then boil gently for 4 minutes, stirring constantly.
    Pour into baked crust.
    Beat egg whites until a little stiff.
    Add a pinch of cream of tartar. Continue beating until stiff. Add 4 to 6 tablespoons sugar.
    Spread on pie. Bake at 350\u00b0 until brown.
