California Baked Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 to 4 lb. frying chicken (cut in pieces)
    salt and pepper
    1 envelope onion soup mix
    3 to 5 slices bacon, diced
    1/4 c. water
    1/4 c. sherry
Preparation
    Arrange chicken pieces, skin side up, in single layer in shallow pan.
    Sprinkle with salt, pepper, onion soup and bacon. Add water and sherry.
    Cover.
    Bake in preheated oven at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Remove cover and bake for 30 minutes more.
